Komatsu Summer School (KSS) aims to provide high school students with an opportunity to find their own path. As of 2021, we have held the summer program eight times, producing over 350 graduates. Because the university students have established a means of international exchange for the high schoolers, KSS has become a place where the energy of young people can come together and enhance each other.
Although former participants and staff members come from a variety of backgrounds as well as work in different fields, they are all drawn to KSS’s mission. We have decided to establish the Komatsu Summer School Alumni Association with the hope of preserving a meaningful community for everyone involved.
With the establishment of the alumni association, we are seeking officers who will work with us. For more information, please refer to the “Application Guidelines” page.
The Komatsu Summer School Alumni Association will carry out the roles below in order to follow up on the summer camps organized by the Komatsu Summer School Executive Committee.
KSS alumni, former E-Board members, and past board of trustees (referred to as “KSS affiliates”) will be members of this group. They are encouraged to connect and continue interacting with each other.
Provide a place where KSS affiliates can experience something that does not occur frequently in order to continue applying what they have learned at KSS (ie. hosting events).
Support the continuation of the program (ie. getting donations).
March 10, 2021 | Reunion for KSS2020 online participants will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021.
March 17, 2021 | We will begin recruiting members.
March 28, 2021 | Recruitment of KSS Alumni Association members is finalized.
